Bonhams was able to sell this 1961 Aston Martin ‘MP209’ DB4GT Zagato for over £10 million at the recent auction at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car is rare as it is one of only 19 Aston Martin DB4GT Zagatos and even rarer as being one of three to be of ‘MP 209’ specs which were known as “Super Lightweight” or “GTSL”. The car has a racing pedigree and was driven twice by Indy ‘500’ champion Jim Clark in 1961 and 62 as a quasi-works team car.
